Applications are invited for Ph.D. Admissions in (Full time /Sponsored/Self Financed/Part time categories) for the Academic Session 2017 in Department of Applied Geology, Bio Medical, Bio-Technology, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Computer Application (MCA), Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, Humanities & Social Sciences, Information Technology, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Mining Engineering & Physics with specialization and area as mentioned in the Institute website: www.nitrr.ac.in. Numbers of seats for Ph.D. admission are not fixed. Hence preference will be given to OBC/SC/ST/PH candidates over OC (General) candidates if all other things remain the same.
How to Apply: The application forms and other relevant information may be downloaded from the institute website: www.nitrr.ac.in The filled applications along with a crossed DD towards application fee drawn in favour of “Director, NIT Raipur” payable at Raipur should reach to “The Registrar, NIT Raipur, CG 492010” on or before 11/05/2017 in an A4 size envelope with super scribing “Ph.D. Admission for Academic Year 2017 in _____________________________ (Name of the Department)” Application Fee: Rs. 200/- for OC and OBC category applicant. For SC/ST/PH candidates, fee will be Rs. 100/- only. Note: The results of scrutiny and selection will be displayed in the Institute website www.nitrr.ac.in and no intimation will be sent to the candidates by post. The candidates are requested to visit Institute website regularly.

Admission into Ph.D. Programs for July 2017 session
The Ph.D. Programs, in Full-time (FT) and Part-time (PT) modes, are offered in the following Departments: 1. Civil Engineering
2. Electrical Engineering
3. Mechanical Engineering
4. Electronics and
5. Metallurgical and
6. Chemical Engineering Communications Materials Engineering Engineering
7. Computer Science and
8. Biotechnology
9. Physics Engineering
10. Chemistry
11. Mathematics
12. Humanities and Social Sciences
13. School of Management
The candidates selected for admission into Ph.D under Full-time program are eligible to receive institute fellowship as per MHRD rules. (vide reference no.http://mhrd.gov.in/sites/upload_files/mhrd/files/RevPhd02032015.pdf, dt.02.3.2015).
The above institute fellowships are subject to change from time to time, under instructions of the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. Candidates who are in final year of Qualifying Degree can also apply. However, such candidates have to submit their provisional certificate on or before 16-8-2017. Category-wise (OBC, SC, ST, PWD) reservations on overall available seats will be followed as per Government of India norms.
